How to Restore The Corrupted Template In Blogger

Sometimes the Blogger template behaves strangely and not according to your requirements. Most of the time, it happens when the template is designed by unprofessional designers. It means that the template is corrupted so that there are many features that are not appearing in your template like time-stamp, date, and also the blog posts not showing properly etc. It feels really annoying, when you have applied the template of your own choice and it does not show the certain features which are important. Template corrupted or with missing features also does not consider as a professional. You have obviously tried everything to adjust the settings & if nothing driven. Though you wish that, you can restore that corrupted template and start from the scratch. So here is the tutorial to help you out and you can easily reset the corrupted blogger template and restore to its original form. Just keep in mind, that by restoring the template to its original form, the changes you have made to the template will also be gone. E.g. The Widgets. But don’t worry you can get them back by adding them again to your template. There are two steps by which you can restore the corrupted blogger template to default.
1. By The Coding Method.
2. By The Formatting Method.
So Let’s Start By Following The Simple Steps:
1. By The Coding Method
(a) Log-in to your BLOGGER DASHBOARD.
(b) Go to TEMPLATE > BACKUP. (Click Here To See, How?)
(c) Now click “Edit HTML”.
(d) By pressing CTRL+F, find the following line in your HTML code:
(a) Log-in to your BLOGGER DASHBOARD.
(b) Go to TEMPLATE > BACKUP. (Click Here To See, How?)
(c) Now click “Edit HTML”.
(d) By pressing CTRL+F, find the following line in your HTML code:
<b:widget id='Blog1' locked='true' title='Blog Posts' type='Blog' />
(Note: Make sure that you have not expanded the code by clicking ► symbol)
(e) Now in above code line change Blog1 to Blog2.
(What this change will do is, it will remove the corrupted gadget (i.e. Blog Posts) and revert the template to its default settings)
(f) Click, SAVE TEMPLATE.
(e) Now in above code line change Blog1 to Blog2.

2. By The Formatting Method
(a) Log-in to your BLOGGER DASHBOARD.
(b) Go to TEMPLATE > BACKUP.
(c) Now click “Edit HTML”.
(d) Click “FORMAT TEMPLATE” button at the top.
(a) Log-in to your BLOGGER DASHBOARD.
(b) Go to TEMPLATE > BACKUP.
(c) Now click “Edit HTML”.
(d) Click “FORMAT TEMPLATE” button at the top.
(e) Finally hit, “SAVE TEMPLATE”.
That’s all set, refresh your blog to see the template with its default settings.
